The Bible (God’s Word) says that there is no salvation in any other name except Jesus. Be not deceived, no one can save and give you eternal life: only Jesus can do that for you. For the Word of God says, “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved“, (Acts 4:12). When one of the Apostles, Thomas, asked Jesus about the way to the Father, he said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me”, (John 14:6). The way is the Cross on which He died. When He was lied against, He did not contest – he is the truth. Above all, when He died, He rose again from the dead on the third day as He promised (1 Corinthians 15:4) by making it possible for you and I to have life.

The question one might ask is this, “Why do I need to be saved?” “What I am being saved from?”
The Bible says, “all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”, (Romans 3:23). The Bible explains where sin originates from by saying “by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned…death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression”, (Romans 5:12,14). It means that immediately you are born into this world, sin is inherent in you. In order for us to be saved, God sent His only Son, Jesus to this world. The reason is that we cannot save ourselves because we are sinners. Bible explains that whilst through Adam, sin came into the world, through Jesus, there is salvation. “If by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”, (Romans 5:17). Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit through Mary and had no sins. He is the only qualified person to save us from our sins.

One might ask again, “Why would God send Jesus to die for me?” The answer is simple; for the Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”, (John 3:16). This is the proof. God hates sin but loves the sinner, which is why He sent Jesus to come and die for us.

If you haven’t received Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, this is now the time to do it. Accept Him now. Don’t postpone your salvation. Just say this prayer,

Father Lord, I believe that I am a sinner. I believe that salvation comes ONLY through your Son. I therefore accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour. And fill me now with your Holy Spirit. I surrender my life to you LORD! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
