The Bible clearly states that, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination” (Leviticus 18:22). This is a direct command from God against homosexuality. In other words, God is saying that homosexuality is not only sinful but abominable.

The question then is: why are certain churches endorsing something that God is against? The Bible has the answers to this question.

Paul in writing to the Roman church outlined the causes. He said, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.“, (Romans 1:18-22).

As Paul said, one of the reasons is that those churches are not glorifying God as God. They are not thankful to God. A church that glorifies God will not replace the Bible with human constitution in the name of human rights. This is what is happening in America and Europe where the Bible is being replaced by the constitution. There is no excuse for endorsing homosexuality nor any form of evil. You can’t claim to be a Bible-believing church and not obey it.

Paul further went on to state the effect of eliminating God from our lives as individuals and nations. He said, “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.  28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient“, (Romans 1:24-28).

Now, the fact that these churches in USA and Europe are endorsing same-sex marriage doesn’t make it right in the eyes of God. As we have seen from the scriptures above, God is against this sin. It may come as a shock to some as to why some churches are doing this. But be rest assured, our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of these things more than 2000 years ago; so these things shouldn’t surprise you. The LORD knows His own!

Isaiah has warning for our generation: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!“, (Isaiah 5:20). This warning is for everyone. No one goes against God and wins. Never!

Now, I am not ashamed to stand on the side of the Living God. And I will continue to speak against legalising any form of evil such as homosexuality and abortion. It is also very important to know that, it is not everyone who claims to be for God are truly for God. The same thing applies to churches as well. There are churches which do not serve the purpose of God and should not be considered the true church of God. Our actions and commitment will show whether we’re Christians individually or as a church, (Matthew 7:21). It just means that it is not every so-called “church” is established with Jesus as the foundation.

My advice is that if you find yourself in any such church, leave and join a Bible believing church. God is against this evil!
