God has and will always frown upon the sin of homosexuality. In the Book of Genesis, the Bible let us know that God created humans – male and female, to conclude his creation. We are the pinnacle of God’s creation.”So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”, (Genesis 1:27). One of the main reasons why God did not only create man, but created woman too, is that they can procreate, for the Bible says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it”, (Genesis 1:28). This does not pertain to only humans, but animals too. This is why before God flooded the earth first, he made sure Noah saved himself, his wife and his sons and their wives too, (Genesis 8:17). When the flood was over, God blessed Noah and his sons and told them to procreate (Genesis 9:1). On the topic of marriage, Jesus echoed this truth in Matt. 19:4 and Mark 10:6, telling the Pharisees that God created male and female and wanted it to be so.

In Leviticus 18:22, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination“. The punishment for homosexuality is death, (Leviticus 20:13). Some people think that this sin is only mentioned or frowned upon in the Old Testament. But, this is not true. The sin of homosexuality is frowned upon in the New Testament and carries the same penalty. In Romans 1, Paul said,

“the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; ” ~ Romans 1:18-28

There you have it! Paul continued to say that those who “commit such things are worthy of death“, (Romans 1:32). Paul doesn’t need to repeat the same statement in all his letters before you and I have to know that it is a sin. Paul explained that this type of sin is as a result of people neglecting the knowledge of God.

The rate at which people are advocating for immoral living is alarming. If this continues, we will not be surprised to see governments endorsing humans marrying animals. Homosexuality is not the only thing wrong in the eyes of God. Unnatural sex including sleeping with animals are all abomination to God. As Christians, we need to stand out and say no to such laws.

No human being is born a homosexual! This is a lie that is being perpetuated by the devil. God can save homosexuals through His Son Jesus, if they truly repent and confess their sins. The Bible says the Blood of Jesus Christ “cleanseth us from all sins” if we confess our sins, (1 John 1:7, 9). As such, it is never late for homosexuals to give their lives to Christ and repent for the forgiveness of sins.

Finally, I’d like to point out that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their sins that they refused to repent of. One of such sins was homosexuality (Genesis 19:5). But, like God assured us through His Word, there is salvation for the repentant soul!
